Beechworth Region - Barrel Fermented
2024 Pinot Gris
White Wine · 13% Alc. · 750ml · Vegan
$40.00
Barrel fermentation, partial malolactic fermentation, and oak aging enhance this pinot gris' texture and complexity. Aromas of Nashi pear and spice lead into a layered palate of orchard fruit, nutmeg, yeast complexity, and a hint of citrus. Oak softens acidity, delivering a rounded texture, elegant length, and balanced finish.

Vintage 2024 was a warm, dry vintage with excellent hang time. Fruit was harvested at optimal phenolic ripeness with natural acidity well preserved by cool overnight temperatures through the growing season.
Lighter meats such as veal and pork pair well with this wine, as do flaky fish, rich seafood and soft cheeses, especially chèvre.
Best served slightly chilled at 10–13°C to preserve aromatics.

Drinking beautifully now through 2031. The barrel fermentation and partial MLF add structure that will continue to integrate over 1–2 years.
