RETURN & REFUND POLICY

OVERVIEW
This Return & Refund Policy applies to purchases made through the Weathercraft Wines and Elemental Wines online store.
Weathercraft Wines and Elemental Wines are operated by Jones Ridge Pty Ltd ACN 614 116 004, trading as Weathercraft Wines and Elemental Wines.
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If there is a problem with your order, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assess the issue and work with you on an appropriate solution.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.
CHANGE OF MIND
We do not generally offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
This includes where:
- you ordered the wrong wine;
- you changed your mind after placing your order;
- you no longer want the wine;
- you selected the wrong delivery address;
- you failed to collect the parcel within the carrier’s collection period;
- the wine was left unattended following authority-to-leave instructions; or
- the wine was not stored appropriately after delivery.
However, please contact us if there is an issue with your order and we will assess the matter fairly.
DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, leaking, broken or incorrectly supplied, please contact us within 21 days of your order date at:

- your order number;
- your name and contact details;
- a description of the issue;
- photographs of the damaged item, packaging and shipping label; and
- any relevant carrier notification or tracking information.
We may request further information to help us assess the issue.
Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement, refund, credit or another remedy in accordance with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
WINE QUALITY ISSUES
Wine is a natural and living product. It can be affected by closure condition, storage, temperature, bottle variation and transport conditions.
If you believe a bottle is faulty, corked, oxidised, heat affected or otherwise not as expected, please contact us at:
Please include:
- your order number or proof of purchase;
- the wine name and vintage;
- a description of the issue;
- photographs of the bottle, label and closure if relevant; and
- details of how the wine has been stored since delivery.
We assess wine quality concerns on a case-by-case basis.
Please do not dispose of the bottle or remaining wine until we have had an opportunity to assess the issue, as we may request that the bottle be returned.

You are responsible for your own shipping costs when returning an item unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise covered by a consumer guarantee under Australian Consumer Law.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless required by law.
If you are returning wine or any item valued over $100, we recommend using a trackable shipping service and appropriate packaging. We cannot guarantee that we will receive returned items sent without tracking.
EXCHANGES
If you need to exchange an item, please contact us within 21 days of your order date at:
Exchanges are assessed case by case and are subject to product availability.
As we are a small producer, some wines are limited, allocated, vintage-specific or no longer available. If the same wine is unavailable, we may offer a suitable alternative, store credit, refund or another appropriate remedy depending on the circumstances.
REFUNDS
If a refund is approved, it will generally be processed back to the original payment method used at checkout.
Please allow time for your bank, card issuer, Shopify Payments or payment provider to process and return the funds to your account.
Shipping charges are generally non-refundable unless required by law or unless the refund relates to a faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied product.
UNCOLLECTED OR RETURNED PARCELS
If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected, the delivery address was incorrect, delivery was refused, or no eligible person was available to receive it, we will contact you to discuss next steps.
Additional shipping charges may apply if the order needs to be resent.
Refunds for uncollected or returned parcels are assessed case by case and may exclude:
- original shipping costs;
- return shipping costs;
- carrier fees; and
- any loss or damage caused by delayed collection or failed delivery,
except where required by law.
AUTHORITY TO LEAVE
Where a customer provides authority-to-leave instructions and the parcel is lawfully left unattended, the customer accepts the risk of loss, theft, heat damage or other damage after delivery, to the extent permitted by law.
Weathercraft Wines, Elemental Wines, Australia Post, Aramex and any other carrier used are not responsible for wine left unattended where authority-to-leave instructions have been provided and lawfully followed.
WARM WEATHER AND HEAT DAMAGE
Wine is sensitive to heat.
During warmer months or periods of extreme weather, we may delay dispatch to protect the quality of your wine.
If a customer requests authority-to-leave, fails to collect a parcel promptly, provides incorrect delivery information, or otherwise causes the wine to be exposed to heat after dispatch or delivery, we may decline to provide a refund or replacement unless required by law.
If you believe wine has been heat affected during transit, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number, photographs and details of the issue.
GIFTS
If wine was purchased as a gift, refund or exchange requests should usually be made by the original purchaser.
Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement, exchange or credit to the recipient, but refunds will generally be processed to the original payment method used for the order.
SALE ITEMS, PROMOTIONS AND LIMITED RELEASES
Sale items, promotional items, limited releases, museum wines, library wines and allocated wines are subject to the same consumer guarantee protections as all other products.
However, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind on these items unless required by law.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
